Linux KPPP Setup

Following are the steps to setup dial-up networking on your computer for your AxisInternet dial-up account.

Please Note: In order to configure your dial-up connection on your computer, you will need to know the local AxisInternet access number for your area. If you do not already have this, please Click Here to find one now.

1. Open kppp.
2. Click Setup.



3. On the Accounts tab, click New....



4. Click Dialog Setup.



5. On the Dial tab, next to Connection Name, enter "AxisInternet".
6. Click Add.
7. In the space provided, enter your local AxisInternet access number.



8. Click on the IP tab and make sure Dynamic IP Address is selected.



9. Click on the Gateway tab and make sure that Default Gateway is selected.



10. Click on the DNS tab.
11. In the field labeled Domain Name, enter "axint.net".
12. For Configuration, select Manual.
13. In the field labeled DNS IP Address, enter "38.116.133.2".
14. Click Add.
15. In the same place, enter "38.116.133.3".
16. Click Add.
17. Click OK.



18. To connect, click Connect.
