Outlook 2000 Email Setup

Following are the steps to set up your AxisInternet email account in Outlook 2000 for Windows.

1. Open Outlook 2000.
2. From the Tools menu, choose Accounts



3. Click the Add button and choose Mail.



4. In the Display Name field, type in your full name.
5. Click the Next button.



6. In the E-mail address field, enter your full AxisInternet email address.
7. Click on the Next button.



8. Click the down arrow on the My incoming mail server is a ____ server drop-down list and choose POP3.
9. In the Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server field, enter pop.axint.net.
10. In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server field, enter smtp.axint.net.
11. Click the Next button.



12. In the Account name field, type in your full AxisInternet email address.
13. In the Password field, type in your password.
14. Check the box next to Remember password.
15. Click the Next button.



16. Select I will establish my Internet connection manually, then click Next.



17. Click the Finish button.
18. Click the Close button.
19. From the Tools menu, choose Accounts or Services (whichever you have)



20. Double-click your account in the account listing, or select the account and click the Properties button.



21. Click the Servers tab.



22. Check the box next to My server requires authentication.



23. Click the OK button.
24. Click the Close button.
25. Congratulations - Outlook 2000 is now set up for your AxisInternet email account.
