Outlook Express 5.x (Macintosh) Setup

Following are the steps to set up your AxisInternet email account in Outlook Express 5.x for Macintosh.

1. Open Outlook Express.
2. Select I already have an Internet e-mail account, but I have never used that account on this computer; or I have used another program but I do not want to import anything from that program.

3. Click the Right Arrow button.
4. In the Display Name field, type your name.



5. Click on the Right Arrow button.
6. In the E-mail Address field, enter your full AxisInternet email address.



7. Click the Right Arrow button.
8. Click the arrow box on the My incoming mail server is a(n) pop-up list and choose POP.
9. In the Incoming mail (POP, IMAP) server field, enter pop.axint.net.
10. In the Outgoing Mail Server field, enter smtp.axint.net.



11. Click the Right Arrow button.
12. In the Account ID field, enter your full AxisInternet email address.
13. In the Password field, enter your password.



14. Click the Right Arrow button.
15. In the Account name field, type in your full AxisInternet email address.
16. Click the Finish button.



17. From the Outlook Express Tools menu, choose Accounts.



18. Select your AxisInternet email account in the list.
19. Click the Edit button.



20. In the SMTP Server field, make sure it reads smtp.axint.net.
21. Click the Click here for advanced sending options button.



22. Check the box next to SMTP server requires authentication.
23. Select the Log on using radio button.
24. In the Account ID field, type in your full AxisInternet email address.
25. In the Password field, type in your password.
26. Close the window.



27. Congratulations - Outlook Express is now set up for your AxisInternet email account.
